Hillsboro-Based Retailer MyBinding.com Ramps Hiring to Match Expansion

MyBinding.com has hired 16 new employees in the last six months and is still seeking qualified candidates to fill their newly-leased office space.

HILLSBORO, OR, February 22, 2012 – MyBinding.com, one of the country's leading retailers of document finishing machines and supplies, has increased local hiring in the last six months. The continued growth of this Hillsboro, Oregon, company has allowed them to obtain and fill a second office with a new team of people.

"Previously our average has been to hire and retain about one new employee per month," said Mindy Patterson, HR Specialist at MyBinding.com. "We definitely have been increasing that in the last few months."

In the past four months, MyBinding.com has hired 12 new employees. Some major new additions include Controller Rick Mitchell in November, Mindy Patterson as HR Specialist in December, and John Whitted as Head of Telesales in January. Whitted has hired a small staff for a new department with plans to grow by the end of the year. MyBinding.com is also looking for qualified people to fill a number of other current openings.

"As our company is growing, we are looking for efficient ways to manage and increase that growth," said Jeff McRitchie, Vice-President of Marketing. "Recently that has meant adding new positions tailored to where we are as a company."

MyBinding.com is one of many companies contributing to the national job surge already seen this year. Employment trends seem to be on the rise for 2012, a movement that would be highly beneficial for the local Hillsboro, Oregon, economy. An article published on the Official Oregon State Website,www.oregon.gov, noted that while state job growth is moving slowly, momentum seems to be increasing. This is seen in a reduction in the number of jobless claims as well as an improvement in company hiring plans. With 16 new hires in the last six months and a few more currently on the horizon, MyBinding.com is doing their part to boost the local economy.

A wide variety of postings have been filled, ranging from warehouse staff to accounting, telesales to order entry, and more. In-house promotions are encouraged, resulting in a solid, tenured team. MyBinding.com is quickly approaching 60 employees with plans to maintain their upward growth pattern.

"We are focusing on building a stronger internal structure," said Patterson. "Our outlook for continued growth is very optimistic."
