MyBinding.com Hires Mindy Patterson to Fill New HR Position as Their Company Expands

MyBinding.com, a rapidly growing Inc. 5000 company, brings on Mindy Patterson, an experienced HR Generalist, to help manage their growing staff

HILLSBORO, OR, March 5, 2012 - MyBinding.com, one of the country's leading retailers of document finishing machines and supplies, recently added Mindy Patterson to their company in a newly-created HR Generalist position. Patterson comes to MyBinding.com with management experience in both human resources and operations. But with a passion for HR work, she is excited to be at this smaller, local company.

"I'm enjoying working here at MyBinding.com," said Patterson, a native Oregonian from The Dalles. "There's a feeling that the employees genuinely care about each other. I think that comes from the top down and is echoed throughout the company."

HR Generalist is a new position to MyBinding.com. As a small, family-owned company, there hasn't been a huge need for a Human Resources department. However, the steady increase in hiring has made such a position necessary. Over the last six months, MyBinding.com has hired 15 people and is still looking for qualified candidates for more openings. Part of Patterson's job is to recruit for those postings and make it as simple as possible for the hiring manager.

"When I first heard about this position, I was excited because of the unique challenges that a small, family-owned company brings to the table," Patterson said, after being asked what drew her to this job. "It's exciting to be a part of the growth process rather than be handed an established playbook of rules."

Patterson will handle typical HR responsibilities, such as finding and screening potential job candidates, scheduling interviews, and taking care of administrative paperwork. She will take care of orientation as well as administer benefits and process payroll. As HR Generalist, Patterson will also be responsible for personnel files, be involved with any corrective action, and be a point of contact to help resolve any issues. Patterson is looking forward to being a part of the growth and development of not only her position but also the company.

"Mindy will be a big help to our company as we grow," said Jeff McRitchie, Vice-President of Marketing. "Her position will be key in several structural changes we hope to implement in the coming year."
