MyBinding.com Responds To Customer Input With Better Shipping Rates

MyBinding.com, a division of Information Management Services, seeks to improve customer service by offering new shipping policy

HILLSBORO, OR, November 18, 2011 – MyBinding.com, one of the country's leading Internet retailers of document finishing machines and supplies, has recently lowered their shipping costs as a result of customer feedback.

MyBinding.com has long offered free shipping on orders over $75. But a recent customer survey conducted by the company showed concern regarding the cost of shipping less expensive orders. The overall consensus was that the rates were too high. The company took notice and immediately set about making changes.

"We want to provide excellent value to our customers," said Jeff McRitchie, Vice-President of Marketing. "If we aren't giving them what they want, clearly we need to make a change."

The new shipping system offers additional tiers of rate options, including economy and standard. Economy is the newest and lowest cost option. As the levels move up, the arrival time frame shortens and the cost increases. In addition to offering more selections to their customers, this change also helps MyBinding.com set expectations in-house regarding handling times and delivery times.

"The new system allows customers to more clearly understand how quickly their items will arrive," said McRitchie. "It will also help us to prioritize orders so that each one is shipped in a timely manner."

Standard shipping, the next up from economy, offers a few benefits, namely a faster arrival time. By choosing standard over economy shipping, a customer can expect priority processing for invoicing, production, and shipping. On average, that leads to an estimated arrival date that is one to five days sooner than economy shipping.

"We want our customers to receive their materials efficiently," said McRitchie. "This new process will help us to better serve our customers, which is our ultimate goal."
