We Won Another Award from Inc. Magazine!

August 22, 2013 by Jeff McRitchie Leave a Comment

MyBinding has just reached a total of five awards from Inc. magazine! We are proud to have won a third “Inc. 5000” award, meaning that Inc. has found our business to be one of the top 5000 privately-owned, U.S. businesses.

They look for the “best run, most innovative, and most inspiring” companies. This year, we ranked 3786 with Inc. It takes at least three years to hit all the qualifications. They must have started earning money at least three years ago, made at least $100,000 two years ago, and made at least $2 million last year. And we have definitely hit that several times.inc-5000-bm-content-1

We continue to stay committed to our customers, making sure they end up satisfied with our business. Our sales, marketing, and shipping teams work hard. We moved to a new facility in March, and it has only made business run smoother.

“We keep wanting to give the customers the very best, and with a new building, we can continue to do so,” said Mike Ware, co-CEO of MyBinding. “For example, we’re one of the fastest shipping companies in our field, and with the warehouse in the building, we can get even faster.”

Big names such as Microsoft, Timberland and Jamba Juice have long been on this list of prestigious business practices. And joining the Inc. 5000 just this year are well-known companies such as Living Social and OtterBox. There are many different categories of business that are included in Inc. magazine’s list, and more than a few in the same line of business as MyBinding.

“Let’s be honest, this isn’t a very exciting industry,” said Jeff McRitchie, head of marketing, with a smile. “It’s not the tech fads that everyone is jumping on board with. But we always make sure to keep our niche, our core focus. And that builds up trust and a loyal customer base.”

So thank you, Customers, Vendors, and MyBinding employees for making this happen—for a third time!

Meet Our Staff – Chris Brabb

March 8, 2013 by Jeff McRitchie Leave a Comment

Chris-Brabb-bm-content-1In a growing business such as ours, a steady stream of new employees helps to keep everything running smoothly. One of our more recent hires is Chris Brabb. Chris is currently our Fastback Specialist for the Eugene, Oregon, area, just a few hours south of our Hillsboro headquarters. We are thrilled to have him as part of our team.

Before making the switch to MyBinding, Chris worked for ten years as the Director of Marketing for the nonprofit Step Forward Activities. They employ people with disabilities to do manufacturing jobs and house them in group homes. Chris was responsible for dealing with government contracts, advising government councils on policies relating to disabilities, and oversaw marketing and sales growth.

While he may be new to the binding industry, Chris is really excited for the opportunity to learn and expand his skill set. Much of what he learned at the NPO will be useful in his new position as Fastback Specialist. Especially useful tools include developing business relationships, confidence in both himself and the product he’s selling, and an overall genial personality.

Chris will be serving the Southern Oregon market, which is where he’s from. He will be working to educate people on finding the right tools for the job and assisting them in putting their best foot forward.

With Chris’s quick wit and charismatic smile, we think he will have no problems succeeding here at MyBinding.com.

                MyBinding.com Represents at eTail West

February 27, 2013 by Jeff McRitchie

This week, two of our marketing professionals are basking in the warmth of the Palm Desert. No, they’re not on vacation. And “basking” is probably the wrong word. “Sitting inside a poorly lit, stale, and crowded meeting room at a national eCommerce conference” is probably a more accurate description.

Our Vice President of Marketing Jeff McRitchie and UX Designer Chris Vander Meulen are participating in the annual eTail West conference. This year the conference is hosted at the JW Marriott Desert Springs in Palm Desert, California. So while McRitchie and Vander Meulen aren’t exactly lounging by the pool all day, they are learning, networking, and even teaching a little.

On Monday, McRitchie delivered a presentation on video marketing encouraging businesses to invest whatever resources they could leverage into a video marketing campaign. Using MyBinding.com’s own success with video as a springboard, McRitchie’s presentation details the why and how of successful video marketing. The presentation generated a lot of positive response, so we’ll try to post it sometime next week for those who are interested.

In addition to McRitchie, the conference also featured a number of other high-profile presenters including CEOs and executives from companies like Nike, Twitter, Disney, United Airlines, Redbox, Facebook, HP, REI, Sony, Visa, and more.

“The conference has been excellent so far,” McRitchie comments. “I’m excited to return to MyBinding and begin implementing some of the great ideas being generated. Our business definitely stands to benefit, but I think our customers and users have the most to gain from all the innovation we’re bringing back.”

Keep watching for more about MyBinding.com’s experience at eTail in the coming weeks.

                About eTail:
