MyBinding.com Poised to Donate 2,500 Pounds of Food to the Oregon Food Bank

mybinding-bm In about a week, families all across the country will be celebrating Thanksgiving. In Oregon, some of them may receive donations that come from the Oregon Food Bank via MyBinding.com. The Inc. 5000 company has been holding a food drive since November 1 that will wrap up on the 23rd, the day before Thanksgiving. MyBinding.com employees are striving to donate 2,500 pounds of food and they’re already almost halfway there.

“We have had such a good turnout,” said Kristana Fruci, MyBinding.com’s General Services Administration Specialist and food drive organizer. “Our goal is in sight and I’m confident we are going to reach it.”

To foster a little bit of friendly competition among employees, the company was divided into five teams: Accounting, Administration, Marketing, Sales, and Warehouse. The team that brings in the most food will receive $300.00 to be split evenly among its members. So far, the Accounting, Administration, and Marketing teams have donated the most food including canned goods, juice, and rice in bulk amounts.

“Our employees have been bringing in a terrific variety of things and the competition has been pretty heated,” said Fruci. “People will probably bring in even more food as the deadline approaches.”

Company representatives plan to deliver the food to the Oregon Food Bank’s Beaverton location on November 23.
