MyBinding.com Offers New Eco-Coil Recycled Coil Binding Spines

September 18, 2009 by Jeff McRitchie

eco-coil-spines-bm-content-1MyBinding.com, one of the nation’s leading suppliers of binding machines and supplies, announced that they’re now carrying a new line of Eco-Coil binding spines. Eco-Coil plastic binding spines are a brand new product and are the first environmentally friendly binding spines available to consumers. Made from 100% post-consumer waste, Eco-Coil binding spines are made from scrap pieces of coil that are collected from in-plan print shops. This means that they are not only recycled but they are also completely recyclable. This makes Eco-Coil an ideal choice for companies and organizations that are concerned about the environment and want to reduce the amount of waste they produce.

“These spines are truly an innovation. In the past, the use of plastic binding coils was seen as  detrimental to the environment because they couldn’t be recycled,” said Jeff McRitchie, Director of Marketing for MyBinding.com. “This changes that. Now people can use plastic binding spines and not have to worry about their impact on the planet.”

In additional to being recyclable, Eco-Coil spines are durable, offer a professional look, and are available in a variety of different sizes, pitches, and lengths. (However, black is the only color available at this time. More colors may be available in the future.) The spines can be used with any spiral coil binding machineon the market and their durability makes them an ideal choice when binding documents that will likely be handled frequently or sent through the mail. Also, Eco-Coil spines can bind documents up to two inches thick and documents bound with the spines lay open flat for easy reading. Eco-Coil spines are 100% American-made and they’re available in boxes of 100, which can be ordered online at the MyBinding.com website (www.mybinding.com). Currently, MyBinding is the only company to offer these new binding coils.

MyBinding.com, a division of Information Management Services, LLC, offers the largest selection of binding equipment and laminators and supplies on the Internet. The company is based in Hillsboro, Oregon and is looking to offer more eco-friendly products in the near future. According to Jeff McRitchie, “This is just the beginning for us. You can expect to see us add new environmentally friendly products to our website very soon,”. He also said that, “We want people to realize that binding doesn’t need to be harmful to the environment. We’re very pleased to offer such a great new product that looks good, is durable and, best of all, is environmentally friendly.”
