Local Oregon Retailer Honored with Inaugural Inc. Hire Power Award
MyBinding.com, an Inc. 5000 retailer, is one of the first to receive a new award for job creators.
For Immediate Release, January 25, 2013 (Hillsboro, OR) – MyBinding.com, a top Oregon retailer, was named in the first-ever Inc. Hire Power Awards. The latest list from the creators of the Inc. 500|5000 showcases businesses across the nation that have created a significant number of jobs over the past three years.
Since the creation of Inc. magazine in 1979, the publication has stayed centered on entrepreneurs and growing businesses. Their creation of the Inc. 500, with the later addition of the 5000, features the fastest growing privately-owned businesses in America. The Hire Power Awards are a natural extension of that list, acknowledging another way successful businesses help the economy.
“It seemed like kind of a no-brainer to make an award for one of the other ways that entrepreneurs contribute to society, which is to create jobs,” said Eric Schurenberg, editor-in-chief of Inc.
Award winners were selected from both for-profit and non-profit business sectors. Sponsored by Bank of America, the Hire Power Award was given to those companies who had created the highest number of jobs over the past three years. MyBinding.com, an Inc.5000 winner two years running, was one of only four Hire Power Award earnersin the state of Oregon.
“We are honored to be included in the first-ever Hire Power Awards,” said Jeff McRitchie, vice president of marketing for MyBinding.com. “Keeping a full staff of local professionals is one way we can give back to our community.”
The Hire Power Awards were given to companies in every industry and just about every state. MyBinding joins other business ventures such as GoDaddy, Chobani, and Scentsy. Over the past three years, MyBinding has increased their staff by over 50% as they grew to fit their business needs. They hire local professionals and promote in-house in order to maintain a productive and cohesive working environment. With their successful track record and low turnover rate, MyBinding is looking to continue to grow and provide more jobs in their community in the coming year.
“As our business increases, our staff grows to accommodate that business with the same efficiency our customers have come to expect,” said McRitchie. “We look forward to flourishing even more in 2013.”
